Pfeifer, who briefly served as a consultant to Lane beforeaccepting her new post, previously was COO/CIO of Atlanta-basedPlace Properties Inc. In that role, she oversaw placement of morethan $250 million of investor equity while leading the multifamilycompany's development, construction, acquisition, propertymanagement and asset management teams.

"Lane Co. not only has a fabulous reputation, but it iscontinuing to grow," says Pfeifer, who was also a partner and CFOwith locally based Carter for more than 20 years. "We're going toaggressively seek market opportunities with various new capitalresources."

Lane's expertise spans 35 years and includes apartment andcondominium acquisition, property management and investmentmanagement. Company founder George Lane remains chairman and CEO,while Rob Couch continues as president of Lane Management, thecompany's property management arm.
