The Cincinnati-based bank plans to move in June and willrelocate 250 employees to 71,000 square feet in the building, withoptions for additional space. It has been looking to move uptownfor several years, dating back to the operation's days as FirstCharter Corp. of Charlotte, which Fifth Third acquired two yearsago.

Fifth Third found a tenant for its 216,000-square-footheadquarters building on David Taylor Drive late last year.Appliance maker Electrolux AB moved its headquarters to Charlotteand is leasing the former First Charter Center with an option tobuy.
