"Christus has done a fantastic job of recruiting physicians tothe new hospital. We simply filled our first building," explainsJud Jacobs, managing director of Trammell Crow's healthcaredevelopment initiative. He tells GlobeSt.com that Westover Hills I,completed in late 2007, was filled slightly ahead of proforma.

"If you look at the demographics in this area, this is anemployed population with a lot of insured residents, which is goodfor the hospital," Jacobs comments. Furthermore, San Antonio itselfhas fared much better than other cities during the recession. "Thatparticular part of San Antonio is enjoying a lot of growth," Jacobsadds, going on to say that there are already letters of intent onthe new building.
