Sources tell the paper that the debt purchase aligns the owner/investor to restructure the debt and ultimately claim ownership. The assets, including International Square, went to Tishman in 2006 in a $2.8 billion sale, the paper reports. One of Tishman's partners at the time was Lehman Brothers Holdings.
