Skodowski is responsible for creating the firm's U.S. GreenBuilding Council (USGBC) LEED certification program; he and histeam have successfully certified 25 projects totaling over 9.5million square feet across the nation. He previously held the titleof senior vice president and director of LEED and sustainabilityservices.

Skodowski, a LEED accredited professional, has over 28 years ofcommercial real estate facility management experience. Under hisleadership, Transwestern is currently pursuing LEED-EBcertification on more than 60 buildings.

"The new position will allow me to work more effectively acrossTranswestern's national platform, working directly with seniorleadership to further the sustainability efforts both internallyand externally," Skodowski tells GlobeSt.com. "It will allow me tointeract directly with the regions, and the Transwestern qualityassurance and innovation team to further the implementation of theLEED for Existing Building standards into all aspects of ourmanagement and engineering teams."
