The venture will seek out projects on a global scale, Gordon says. This will be the first international step for Magellan, while Hanwha has already been working with Magellan on the Lakeshore East project in Chicago. "Hanwha will provide us with insights into the international market," Gordon says. "We think Asia will be a main area of interest, including China, Vietnam and South Korea, of course."
Hanwha has been active on an international scale since 1952. The firm has 56 overseas subsidiaries and branches, including six in the US, and nearly 26,000 employees.
