The venture will seek out projects on a global scale, Gordonsays. This will be the first international step for Magellan, whileHanwha has already been working with Magellan on the Lakeshore Eastproject in Chicago. "Hanwha will provide us with insights into theinternational market," Gordon says. "We think Asia will be a mainarea of interest, including China, Vietnam and South Korea, ofcourse."
Hanwha has been active on an international scale since 1952. Thefirm has 56 overseas subsidiaries and branches, including six inthe US, and nearly 26,000 employees.
