PARSIPPANY, NJ-In a strategic move that continues the organization’s ongoing expansion plans, Colliers International has tapped real estate veteran Robert R. Martie as executive vice president of the New Jersey region.

With more than three decades of brokerage experience working for some of the region’s largest institutional real estate firms, Martie has an unparalleled reputation as one of the industry's most accomplished professionals. “Bob Martie is the type of high-caliber professional we wanted to lead our New Jersey operations," says Mark Jaccom, CEO of the Tri-State operations. "He is a strategic thinker and highly accomplished real estate executive ideally suited to build upon our full-service model to compete even more effectively on a regional level. His arrival also signals to the marketplace that Colliers International is recruiting--and will continue to recruit--the best and brightest talent in the local market.”

Most recently, Martie was the executive vice president of Kwartler Associates, where he was responsible for overseeing the marketing and leasing functions for the company’s 6.5 million-square-foot portfolio, as well as sourcing new acquisitions.

Before joining Kwartler, Martie directed the New Jersey region acquisitions for Advance Realty Group and oversaw operations for the company’s portfolio, which included some of New Jersey's largest leasing transactions. He spearheaded New York Life Insurance Cos.’s 260 Cherry Hill Rd. acquisition in Parsippany and completed a 210,000-square-foot build-to-suit with Eisai Pharmaceuticals' corporate headquarters. Prior to his tenure with Advance Realty, Martie was senior vice president at the Gale Co., where he was responsible for leasing and marketing the company’s 50 million-square-foot national portfolio.

“Colliers International is a tremendous organization with a great Tri-State team, putting the clients ahead of themselves,” Martie said in a statement. “I look forward to enhancing the already impressive success of the New Jersey operations.”
