Tug of War Over Investors

NEW YORK CITY—NAREIT is on the offensive, heavily marketing trusts as the way to go for institutional investors, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

The report cites new data that the association has indicating that REIT investments outperform the private side, and states that NAREIT is going after institutions that have been misguided into thinking that private equity is a better opportunity.
