The arguments range from its general prominence and eyesore-worthy placement--atop a hill overlooking both cities--to traffic congestion on the already jam-packed Highland Avenue. The mayors of the two cities, Lynn Mayor Judy Flanagan Kennedy and Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll, are meeting to discuss the issue.

For Lynn residents, they are looking at the degradation of their neighborhood, while Salem officials are trying to add jobs and tax revenue. The proposed site is estimated to add somewhere around 100 jobs and $225,000 in tax revenue. The incentive was great enough for Salem to rezone the area to a B-2 classification for retail.
