Floyd Sweeney, VP and Dan Hayes, principal are the listing agents for the property, also referred to as Fenton 44 Center. The two plants occupy 295 acres and are located off Interstate 44 near Interstate 270.

"The best case scenario would be for another manufacturer to purchase the property and use the assembly facilities. Absent that, however, we have a very large, well situated site with tremendous exposure and access – the redevelopment possibilities are endless for Fenton 44 Center," said Sweeney.

Denny Coleman, St. Louis County Economic Council president and CEO, said that there may be a number of local and state incentives that could be used to help sell the property. "We are prepared to implement appropriate action for the right company looking to invest and create good-paying jobs in Fenton," he said in a statement.

The North Plant, which produced Dodge Ram trucks, was idled in July 2009 following Chrysler's bankruptcy filing. The South Plant, which produced Dodge & Chrysler minivans, was idled in November 2008. At the time of bankruptcy, the two plants employed 1,500 people, a significant decrease from its heyday of 5,000 employees.

ST. LOUIS-Craig M. Robinson has joined Cassidy Turley as president of Corporate Services. Robinson will report directly to the CEO, Mark Burkhart, and will serve as a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Company. He will focus on expanding the company's real estate and outsourcing solutions for corporations, health care organizations and public institutions. Robinson is a former managing director of strategy and consulting for CB Richard Ellis Global Corporate Services.

BROOKFIELD, WI-Hammes Co. has increased its overseas operations under the new name Hammes Co. International. Travis Messina, a veteran of the company, has been selected to lead the firm's international business unit. Messina was named senior director of the new firm. Hammes is currently working with Bahrain-based Safe Hands Health System Holding Co. to develop a $1.5 billion program that includes over 30 medical facilities across the Middle East. The firm is actively pursuing additional opportunities in the Caribbean and Dubai, as well as other areas of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and India.

CHICAGO-Jones Lang LaSalle has expanded its suburban presence in Chicago with a new 11,124-square-foot office at O'Hare Plaza at 8755 W. Higgins Rd. Relocating from its prior location within 3,407 square feet at Triangle Plaza, the new office is part of the firm's larger strategic imperative to meet the growing demand of its clients within the suburban markets across its full-service platform. The suburban office landlord leasing team, led by Dan Fernitz, and the industrial landlord leasing team, led by Frank Griffin and Dominic Carbonari, will be relocating into the new space from Triangle Plaza. In addition, the industrial tenant representation group, lead by Kris Bjorson and Trevor Ragsdale, will be relocating from Jones Lang LaSalle's downtown offices at the AON Center into the new space. Recent new hire Keith Stauber, regional managing director, who will serve as the firm's Midwest Industrial Services practice leader, will also be based in the suburban office.

BATAVIA, IL-Houghton Mifflin Publishing Co., based in Boston, has renewed its lease of a 170,462-square-foot warehouse and distribution center in west-suburban Batavia. Britt Casey and Gilbert Dailey with Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant in the transaction. The building, at 950 Raddant Rd. just north of Interstate 88, features 18 exterior docks and 24-foot ceilings. It is owned by RREEF, which represented itself in the transaction. Houghton Mifflin has been a tenant in the building since 2007. The company uses the Batavia facility as its Midwest distribution hub.

MELROSE PARK, IL-Darwin Realty & Development Corp. announced a long-term lease extension for 40,338 square feet of industrial warehouse space at 2680 W. Lake St. to Spirit Distribution. Daniel A. Fanelli and Anthony R. Leeds represented ownership and Jason Lev and John Suerth with CB Richard Ellis represented Spirit Distribution. The building features 24-foot ceiling clearance, six docks and a small amount of office.

WOODRIDGE, IL-FlowServe has leased 32,886-square-foot of manufacturing space in Bridge Point Woodridge Business Park at 1020 Davey Rd. Jeff Galante and Brian Vanosky, both principals of Lee & Associates of Illinois LLC represented building ownership, Bridge Development Partners, and Dan McGillicuddy with Jones Lang LaSalle represented the tenant in the transaction.

WEST DUNDEE, IL- King Shan LLC has hired Opus North Corp. for a construction contract for a 35,000-square-foot warehouse/distribution facility on 2.5-acres at Oakview Corporate Park. King Shan is a manufacturer of steel wire and metal fabrication products, and is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. Construction on the facility is scheduled to begin in early May, and building completion by late September, 2010. Noel Liston from Darwin Realty and Development represented both King Shan and Opus in the transaction. Oakview totals 120 acres and features build-to-suit sites from 3 to more than 30-acres, with over 45-acres having been set aside as wetlands and nature preserve.

NAPERVILLE, IL-Oakbrook Terrace-based Mid-America Management, Inc. recently transacted a ground lease with CVS Caremark Corp. for a 1.2-acre outlot at Ogden Mall. According to Mid-America Principal Richard Spinell, CVS will be tearing down an existing 3,934-square-foot Pizza Hut building in order to construct its own 12,900-square-foot building, with plans to open in fall 2010. CVS is joining the 272,654 square-foot community shopping center, which also includes K Mart, Citibank, H Mart, and Panera Bread. Mid-America Senior Leasing Representative Katie Hennegan represented the landlord with Sharon Whiteside of Sierra Realty Advisors representing CVS.

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL-The Auction Services Group, headquartered in downtown Chicago, will be conducting the sale at auction of the Crossroads of Commerce Building III, located at 3501 Algonquin Rd. on June 15. Formally occupied by the Pepsi Beverages Corp. the property is commonly known as the Pepsi Building. The building was constructed in 1984. The 10-story plus basement,208,900 square foot building is of center core design. The Auction Services Group is handling the transaction.

NORTHBROOK, IL-Three commercial real estate specialists have formed Frontline Real Estate Partners LLC. This new firm specializes in acquiring value-add, distressed and surplus real estate assets nationwide, as well counseling financial institutions, private companies and restructuring advisors on real estate matters. Frontline is the result of a partnership between Mitch Kahn, Josh Joseph and Matt Darin, all of whom previously led the acquisitions and dispositions practices at Hilco Real Estate in Chicago.

RIVERDALE, IL-McShane Construction Co. has broken ground on the 52-unit Riverdale Senior Apartments at 335 W. 138th St. The redevelopment project is underway on behalf of developer, Turnstone Development Corp. and is scheduled for a December 2010 completion.

SCHILLER PARK, IL-Podolsky Northstar CORFAC International has represented KTR Capital Partners in lease transactions totaling more than 15,000 square feet. In the first lease, Fastenal Co. has completed a new lease for 7,496 square feet of retail and warehouse at a multi-tenant building at 3749 N. 25th Ave., a building owned by KTR Illinois LLC. In another transaction for KTR, Best Imaging Solutions completed an 8,000-square-foot lease renewal transaction at 10511 United Pkwy. The company has been a tenant of the building since 2007. The building is an 80,800-square-foot building that features superior access to O'Hare Airport and multiple transportation routes.

CINCINNATI-Casto and their joint venture partner, Investcorp, completed two new retail leases with Party City at Tri-County Marketplace, located across from the Tri-County Mall at the southwest quadrant of Interstate 275 and Princeton Pike, and Salon Concepts at King's Mall, situated at the northeast quadrant of Interstate 71 and Fields Ertel Road. They have signed a 10-year lease and will occupy 11,250 square feet.

NOVI, MI-Friedman Real Estate Group Inc. recently negotiated the lease of 40,583 square feet of flex/R&D space at Novi Research Park, 27275 Haggerty Rd. The landlord, CSFB 2001-CP4 Haggerty Road LLC, through Finsilver Friedman Management Co., leased the space to Kongsberg Automotive. David Friedman represented the landlord in this transaction.

FRASER, MI-HOPE Center of Macomb has finalized negotiations in the leasing of a 27,148-square-foot facility at 33222 Groesbeck Hwy. Jason Capitani and Chris Steele with L. Mason Capitani /CORFAC International assisted HOPE Center and the landlord, Groesbeck Development Group, in the transaction.

OKEMOS, MI-Centro Properties Group announced a 10,434-square-foot Bargain Books recently opened at Meridian Towne Centre, located south of Interstate 69, on the northeast corner of Marsh Road and Newman Road; directly across from Meridian Mall. Centro was represented by Robert Saggese.

INDIANAPOLIS-Shoppers World, the New York-based discount department store chain, has opened a new store in the Felbram Plaza North shopping center on the south side of Indianapolis. The new department store replaces a Target store that closed last year. The center owner, Nassimi Realty, said that the addition of Shoppers World brings the occupancy rate at the center to 95%. Located on the corner of U.S. 31 and National Avenue a few blocks from a ramp to I-465, the store is the second Shoppers World in the Indianapolis market.
