The building, which will have 274 units, is expected to be complete in Q3 2012. Helmut Jahn designed the 344,320-square-foot tower. Apartments will range from 560 square feet to 3,766 square feet. The ground floor will have 77,000 square feet of retail and office space for lease, according to Hines. An underground parking garage will hold almost 300 vehicles. Mieczyslaw Godzisz, managing director for Hines Poland, tells GlobeSt.com that he cannot divulge the cost of construction.

Sales will commence in late fall, said Iwona Strzelecka, project manager for Hines Poland. "Since the market has experienced several false starts on comparable residential projects, we believe it is important to rebuild consumer trust in upscale projects," Strzelecka said in a statement.

Hines Poland is partnering with Hochtief Poland to build the tower. The partnership previously built the Metropolitan office building at Pilsudskiego Square in the city. Hines also has other projects in the country, including the Impresja apartments in Wilanow, the Arboretum residential complex and Sterlinga Business Center inn Lodz and the Quattro Towers residential complex in Gdansk.
