Tribe Eyes 300-Acre Site for Casino Project

FALL RIVER, MA-The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is altering its Middleboro plans to select a site zoned for biotech, says the Cape Cod Times.

The 300-acre site, here, was set aside for a biotech site, but the tribe's purchase would transform the area into a casino, three hotels and a shopping mall. There is a possibility that the town of Middleboro may sue the Mashpee Wampanoag for breach of contract, however no suit has been filed as of today.
