FAIRFIELD, NJ-McBride Corporate Real Estate recently inked thesale of a 417,744-square-foot facility at 300 Fairfield Rd. here.Manufacturer Middle Atlantic Products Inc. plans to use the spaceas its corporate headquarters, manufacturing and distributionfacility, McBride senior vice president John D'Amato tellsGlobeSt.com.

In 2006, D'Amato, along with David Yao, the firm's vicepresident and financial analyst, negotiated a long-term leasebetween then-tenant Middle Atlantic and building owner CRG 300 LLC,which had purchased the former Curtis Wright manufacturing facilityin 2005 before embarking on its redevelopment. "We had negotiated apurchase option for the building, which Middle Atlantic exercisedrecently," says D'Amato, who declined to disclose the salesprice.

"It's a significant transaction for this submarket so we'd liketo think that's a sign of things to come," D'Amato tellsGlobeSt.com. "It speaks to the quality and location of the asset aswell as Middle Atlantic's long-term projection as it relates tomanufacturing and operating in the building."
