DOWNERS GROVE, IL-The Computing Technology Industry Association is relocating its headquarters from 1815 S. Myers Rd. in Oakbrook Terrace, IL to the Esplanade II office tower here. The association will lease 32,289 square feet in the 584,000-square-foot building.
The association will occupy its new space in November, says Susan Rosen with Cushman & Wakefield. She and Marilyn Lissner with Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant in the transaction, and Dave Andrews represented the owner, Hamilton Partners.
The 18-year-old Esplanade II building is at 3500 Lacey Rd., part of the three-million-square-foot, six-building Esplanade at Locust Point complex. Bakery giant Sara Lee moved its headquarters in 2005 into the building, formerly the Spiegel Co. headquarters.
The building, with 43,000-square-foot floor-plates, has about 58,000 square feet available, according to the Hamilton Web site. Asking rents range from $19 to $27 per square foot, gross, according to the company. The property is in the Interstate 88 East corridor, which has about 25 million square feet and a 22.4% vacancy rate, according to a first quarter Grubb & Ellis market report.
