HOUSTON-River Oaks Shopping Center, one of the city’s oldest andprominent retail properties, has added four new tenants to itslineup. The tenants – Urban Retreat, V’s Barbershop, Haut ChocolatDelicious Clothes and an American brasserie – will occupy a totalof 15,683 square feet.

The 1930s-era property, located three miles north of downtown atWest Gray Street and South Shepherd Drive, recently added twonewly-constructed buildings that total more than 60,000 squarefeet. Two of the new tenants will be located in the new buildings,according to Brooke Harvey with Weingarten Realty Investors, whichowns River Oaks Shopping Center. He handles the leasing for the322,000-square-foot shopping center.

Urban Retreat, a luxury day spa and salon, is relocating to a6,734-square-foot space above the new Barnes & Noble after 20years in its current River Oaks location. It will still be able tooffer valet parking to its customers. Mike Butte represented UrbanRetreat in the lease negotiations.
