The retailer is selling and leasing excess real estate online. It's offering house repairs online. It set up an online "marketplace" that is similar to Amazon.com.

Now it looks like Sears wants to compete with Netflix and similar services by launching a site that sells downloads of movies and television shows.

Sears Holdings' management, it seems, thinks the company's future is on the Internet.

The company has a bit of a problem, though. There's already a ton of competition in some of these spaces.

At this point, can Sears really compete with the likes of Amazon and Netflix at what they do best? Sure, the company has a strong brand name, but will consumers really think of Sears when it comes to shopping for general merchandise online or watching movies on their computers?

We're just wondering what's next. There are two untapped markets that Sears could probably make some headway in -- coffee and burger chains.
