TORRANCE, CA-Colliers International has hired John Hollingsworth for the newly created position of managing director for the South Bay for the company, a post in which Hollingsworth will lead the sales team in the Colliers Commerce and Torrance offices and will oversee the firm's industrial platform. Based in Colliers’ Torrance office, Hollingsworth will focus initially on "recruiting new talent and building a stronger industrial presence within Colliers’ Greater Los Angeles operations," according to an announcement by the company.
A veteran of more than 25 years in the commercial real estate industry, Hollingsworth was managing director of CBRE’s South Bay office, composed of 130 professionals across seven service lines, and serving major corporate accounts including Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Aerospace, Nissan and Tyco. In this role, he was responsible for the office’s business development strategy and service delivery, including recruiting, retaining and developing top industry professionals. Previously, Hollingsworth was managing director of CBRE’s Los Angeles Central market. In this leadership role, he earned the company’s “Turnaround Award” for the highest annual growth in revenue of all CBRE offices in the US.
The addition of Hollingsworth comes on the heels of the appointment of Hans Mumper to lead the Downtown Los Angeles, Encino and Valencia offices of Colliers. Martin Pupil, regional managing director for Colliers’ Greater Los Angeles operations, will continue to lead all seven of the region’s offices, in addition to providing strategic guidance for the sales professional in the region’s Irvine and Ontario offices. The appointments of Hollingsworth and Mumper are among a host of regional and national new hires and promotions in recent months by Colliers as the company bolsters its management team and expands its service lines both regionally and companywide.
