TORRANCE, CA-Colliers International has hired John Hollingsworthfor the newly created position of managing director for the SouthBay for the company, a post in which Hollingsworth will lead thesales team in the Colliers Commerce and Torrance offices and willoversee the firm's industrial platform. Based in Colliers’ Torranceoffice, Hollingsworth will focus initially on "recruiting newtalent and building a stronger industrial presence within Colliers’Greater Los Angeles operations," according to an announcement bythe company.

A veteran of more than 25 years in the commercial real estateindustry, Hollingsworth was managing director of CBRE’s South Bayoffice, composed of 130 professionals across seven service lines,and serving major corporate accounts including Boeing, NorthropGrumman, Aerospace, Nissan and Tyco. In this role, he wasresponsible for the office’s business development strategy andservice delivery, including recruiting, retaining and developingtop industry professionals. Previously, Hollingsworth was managingdirector of CBRE’s Los Angeles Central market. In this leadershiprole, he earned the company’s “Turnaround Award” for the highestannual growth in revenue of all CBRE offices in the US.

The addition of Hollingsworth comes on the heels of theappointment of Hans Mumper to lead the Downtown Los Angeles, Encinoand Valencia offices of Colliers. Martin Pupil, regional managingdirector for Colliers’ Greater Los Angeles operations, willcontinue to lead all seven of the region’s offices, in addition toproviding strategic guidance for the sales professional in theregion’s Irvine and Ontario offices. The appointments ofHollingsworth and Mumper are among a host of regional and nationalnew hires and promotions in recent months by Colliers as thecompany bolsters its management team and expands its service linesboth regionally and companywide.
