NEWPORT BEACH, CA-Locally based Greenlaw Partners has named James V. Camp to the position of executive vice president, a post in which he will be The former Voit exec will be involved in managing the Greenlaw Partners portfolio and will also play a role in the company's acquisitions program. Camp, veteran of more than 20 years in the commercial real estate industry who has held positions at a number of prominent firms, previously was a senior vice president and portfolio manager for Voit Real Estate Services.
At Voit, Camp oversaw portfolio and asset management of Voit’s operating and development properties and was responsible for the firm’s expansion into the third party asset services and property management business. In addition, he was senior vice president of development and acquisitions for Voit Development Co. His career also includes posts as vice president of acquisitions and development for Los Angeles-based Lowe Enterprises Commercial Group and senior vice president/director for Koll Cornerstone.
Camp comes to Greenlaw following the firm’s acquisition of 2050 Main St. in Irvine. Greenlaw Partners partnered with San Francisco-based Westbrook Partners and Chicago’s Walton Street Capital LLC to buy the 13-story class A office tower. The $56 million all-cash deal was the third-largest office sale of 2009. Greenlaw has since increased occupancy to 60% from the 30% occupancy at the time it acquired the property.
Since its formation in March 2003, Greenlaw has acquired 46 properties with a value in excess of $1 billion. The firm’s real estate assets include office, industrial, retail, land and resort properties located throughout the Western US. The company acquires and develops commercial real estate properties in joint ventures with institutions and individuals.
