KRAKOW, POLAND-Hewitt Associates, a human resources, consulting and outsourcing company, recently leased space for its headquarters in a new office building here, expanding its space to 50,000 square feet. The company had previously been operating solely out of about 21,000 square feet at ul. Armii Krajowej 16.

Hewitt will be the anchor in the new building, owned by Aldesa Polska in this Zablocie District. Diamonte Plaza, built by Hochtief Polska in September 2009, is a four-story office with 107,600 square feet. The building also includes an underground parking garage with 193 spaces.

Eoin McCoy, center director for the company, said the city offers workers with multiple language skills. “We have enjoyed five successful years in Krakow, and our expansion allows us to embark on another phase of growth as we more than double our office space,” said McCoy in a statement. The company did not respond to questions.

Jose Cordoba, director general for Aldesa, said the workers will benefit from a new tram line that, when open in the fall, will circulate in front of the building. “We are sure that this (lease) will provide them with the space they need to handle their continued expansion,” he said in a statement.
