NEW YORK CITY-Cassidy Turley has nabbed Peter Hennessy from Jones Lang LaSalle to serve as president of the New York tri-state region. Hennessy led the Staubach Co.’s New York operations prior to its merger with JLL; a JLL spokesman says the firm has no comment.
As president for the region, Hennessy will focus on expanding Cassidy Turley’s commercial real estate services in the Northeast. He’ll be overseeing a tri-state team of nearly 400 employees, who operate out of offices in Manhattan, Fairfield County and New Jersey.
Hennessy is joining the current leadership team of Mark Boisi, chairman of the tri-state region, and executive vice chairman Richard Bernstein. All three will serve on Cassidy Turley’s board of directors.
While serving as regional leader for Staubach, Hennessy also represented an extensive list of office tenants. His client base there included New York City and State, the National Football League, Guggenheim Partners, Disney/ESPN, the National Hockey League, Texaco, Mobil Corp., Time Inc. and GE Capital.
Following the JLL/Staubach merger, Hennessy served as international director for JLL Americas in New York, focusing mainly on tenant representation. Simultaneously, he served on the Americas brokerage executive committee and the board of directors for the Americas retail group.
In a release, Hennessy says he looks forward to the opportunity to build Cassidy Turley and its team. Boisi says in the release that Hennessy’s team-building approach and experience in driving national and global business “will be instrumental in our overall success in this market.”
