DETROIT-Home sales declined 20% in the Detroit market in Julycompared to that of 2009. However, median sales prices increasedthroughout metro Detroit from $65,000 to $74,180, an increase of14% from July 2009.
The number of available homes for sale in the Detroit marketalso decreased from 48,831 in July 2009 to 38,727 in July 2010. InJuly, the number of foreclosure sales was 1,978 and that ofnon-foreclosure sales was 3,248. For the full story, go toFreepress.com.
