Owner Pacific Realty Trust had been marketing the building asanother single-user headquarters site, but after little interestdecided to make the facility into multi-use, said Corey Chase ofPodolsky Northstar Corfac International. “The market is softeverywhere in Chicago, and the north isn’t much different. Thelandlord rolled up their sleeves and did what they needed to do toget a tenant,” he tells Chase represented the tenantin the transaction, and Michael Flynn and Jason Wurtz with NAIHiffman represented PacTrust.

Chase says Wonderlic is expanding from a smaller space at 1795Butterfield Rd. in Libertyville, IL into this nine-year-oldbuilding at 400 Lakeview Pkwy. The tenant will take the23,000-square-foot second floor and 3,000 square feet on the firstfloor when it moves in January, with the rest of the spaceavailable. “One of the first things they said when we talked abouttheir lease being up is that they wanted a better atmosphere and abetter image, and this building fits,” Chase says. The asking rateat the building is $14.50 per square foot.
