INDIANAPOLIS-Several mortgage brokers in Indianapolis have beenforced to exit the market due to the turmoil in the US housingfinancing industry and the consequent tightening ofregulations.

The number of loan originators and mortgage brokers in Indianareduced to 1,080, about 73% since 2005 when the number was 4,008.The Indiana Association of Mortgage Brokers has also ceased toexist due to the rapid thinning of the industry. For thefull story, go to IndyStar.com.
