MISSION HILLS, CA-Pacific Medical Buildings of San Diego hasbeen named to develop a 125,000-square-foot build-to-suit medicalfacility on behalf of the non-profit Facey Medical Foundation, withthe building to be 100% leased by the Facey Medical Group. PMB, adeveloper of outpatient healthcare facilities and hospital-basedparking structures, identified and will acquire the 6.72-acredevelopment site. The firm will also develop, finance and own thebuild-to-suit facility, which will be designed for LEED Silverdesignation that, if certified, would make it the first LEED SilverMOB of more than 100,000 square feet in Los Angeles County, thedeveloper says.

PMB plans to start construction by the first quarter of nextyear and to complete construction by the second quarter of 2012 onthe facility, which will be constructed at 11333 Sepulveda Blvd. inMission Hills, at Rinaldi Street and San Fernando MissionBoulevard. The move to the new building, a three-story structure,will enable Facey to replace current facilities, consolidate localclinics, and accommodate new technologies and electronic medicalrecords systems.

Facey Medical Group, which began as a one-physician practice 87years ago, is now a 140-physician, multi-specialty medical groupwith more than 100,000 prepaid, enrolled members. The Facey MedicalFoundation manages the medical group.
