MISSION HILLS, CA-Pacific Medical Buildings of San Diego has been named to develop a 125,000-square-foot build-to-suit medical facility on behalf of the non-profit Facey Medical Foundation, with the building to be 100% leased by the Facey Medical Group. PMB, a developer of outpatient healthcare facilities and hospital-based parking structures, identified and will acquire the 6.72-acre development site. The firm will also develop, finance and own the build-to-suit facility, which will be designed for LEED Silver designation that, if certified, would make it the first LEED Silver MOB of more than 100,000 square feet in Los Angeles County, the developer says.

PMB plans to start construction by the first quarter of next year and to complete construction by the second quarter of 2012 on the facility, which will be constructed at 11333 Sepulveda Blvd. in Mission Hills, at Rinaldi Street and San Fernando Mission Boulevard. The move to the new building, a three-story structure, will enable Facey to replace current facilities, consolidate local clinics, and accommodate new technologies and electronic medical records systems.

Facey Medical Group, which began as a one-physician practice 87 years ago, is now a 140-physician, multi-specialty medical group with more than 100,000 prepaid, enrolled members. The Facey Medical Foundation manages the medical group.

Pacific Medical Buildings specializes in the development and management of medical office buildings, outpatient facilities and parking structures for hospitals, medical groups and universities. The firm owns and manages more than 44 facilities totaling about three million square feet with more than 7,000 structured parking stalls, and has seven projects under development that will total 750,000 square feet.
