Fairway Market is coming to Manhattan’s Upper East Side via a45,263-square-foot, long-term lease at the base of the Ventura, aluxury rental apartment building located at 240 E. 86th St.Scheduled to open in the fall of 2011, the new Fairway will takespace on four levels formerly occupied by Barnes &Z Noble andCircuit City. A Robert K. Futterman & Associates team includingRobert K. Futterman, Ariel Schuster, Gary Alterman and Izzy Anthonyrepresented the landlord, Ventura in Manhattan, Inc. Fairway wasself-representing; this will be the upscale grocery chain’s eighthmetro area location and its third in Manhattan.

The Kaufman Organization recently brokered a pair of leasestotaling 9,150 square feet at the 14-story 242 W. 36thSt. Hart Reproduction Services, a printing and mailingservice, signed a 10-year lease for 7,250 square feet MichaelHeaner and Daniel Kahn of the Kaufman Organization represented thetenant in the transaction, while Grant Greenspan of the KaufmanOrganization represented the landlord. Hart is moving from a 4,000square-foot space at 555 Eighth Ave. Greenspan also representedbuilding owner Kaufman Wales Assoc. in a five-year lease by SupremeTextiles for 1,900 square feet,while his colleague Howard Rsenblumrepresented the tenant.
