NEW YORK CITY- Extell Development's proposed plan of converting the Riverside Center on the Upper West Side to a 2,500-apartment project is facing opposition from the Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer.

Stringer has voiced fears that the density of the proposed project will eventually result in unmanageable traffic levels. Stringer recommends more open space by reducing the area's density by 480,000 square feet and also recommends that Extell build a larger school. For the full story, go to NY Observer.
