SACRAMENTO-Irvine, CA-based the Hoffman Co., is expanding its reach into Northern and Central California with the opening of a new office in Sacramento. The company has hired land acquisition specialist David Capel to handle residential land deals for the company in Sacramento, the San Francisco Bay area, the Central Valley and along the Central Coast. Along with partner Cameron Fowler, their experience and success in the industry will add significantly to the company’s reach, according to a prepared statement.

“Dave is a great asset for us. His deep knowledge and experience in the Northern California market allows us to expand our presence there in a way that falls in nicely with our tradition of superior brokerage service,” says Norm Scheel, principal of the Hoffman Co. “The Northern California market is ripe with opportunity, and Dave is just the guy to make it happen for us.”

Prior to joining Hoffman, Capel was director of acquisitions at Greenrock Holdings LLC in El Dorado Hills, CA, where he oversaw development opportunities for the company in Northern California and Nevada. Previous posts included director for Laing Sequoia Nocal Partners in Modesto, CA; vice president of land resources for Morrison Homes in Modesto; and account executive for the Meyers Group in Sacramento.

Skilled in all phases of project management, from feasibility analysis through contract negotiation, planning and construction, Capel’s proven ability to successfully identify profitable investment opportunities in all asset classes, while creating value in complex, highly visible environments, will be of great service to Hoffman’s brand, according to a prepared statement.

“The Hoffman Company’s solid reputation and level of professionalism is a great match for what I expect to add to it,” says Capel. “There are great opportunities for us in the Northern California market, and together with my partner Cameron Fowler, we plan to accomplish great things there as we expand Hoffman’s business.”
