DALLAS-The Kroger supermarket chain is considering locating oneof its stores on the site of Elliott's Hardware on Maple Avenuenear Love Field in Dallas. Elliott's had listed its Maple Avenuestore for sale in June for $8 million.
Gary Huddleston, a spokesperson for the supermarket chain saidthat the conversion is part of an aggressive expansion plan forDallas. Kroger is planning to start construction of a Kroger FreshFare store in late October near downtown Dallas. For thefull story, go to Dallas Morning News.
