PHILADELPHIA-Locally based developer Campus Apartments is building a 413-room residence hall for St. Joseph's University here that management expects to have completed for the fall 2012 semester. The facility, which will be for freshmen, is slated to break ground next year.
The building will be on the campus of the Jesuit institution, which is in the northwest part of the city and has 4,600 undergraduate students. PZS Architects, McCue Consulting and Hunt Engineering are also working on the project.
Campus Apartments operates about 26,000 beds across the country serving 70 educational institutions. The firm has more than $1 billion of assets under management.
Earlier this year, Campus Apartments CEO David Adelman was named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year for Greater Philadelphia.
