WORCESTER, MA-The construction of the delayed CitySquare development project in Worcester has started. Phase I of the multi-use proposal comprises erection of an eight-story office tower, which will host the insurer Unum Group's offices.

A part of the former Worcester Common Outlets Mall will be razed and a new street, named Mercantile Street, will be constructed, which will link the Front and Foster Streets. The major contribution for phase I is a private investment of $110 million. For the full story, go to Boston Globe.
