IRVINE, CA-According to online foreclosure marketplaceRealtyTrac, nationwide foreclosure filings in August 2010 declined5% compared to that of August 2009. This marks the third straightmonth of declines since filings had increased 1% in May 2010.

The number of properties that received a foreclosure NOTICE was338,836 in August 2010, a 4% increase compared to that in July2010.
