CHENGDU, CHINA-RTKL, an architecture, engineering and designfirm, says ground has broken on a new 80-acre project here. Thecompany is overseeing the master planning, architecture, brandingand landscaping for the new 80-acre Pearl River New Town sitehere.
The first phase of the project will include a1.2-million-square-foot shopping mall, a four-story structure thatwill include an Ito department store as an anchor. The mall willconnect to a 35-story office tower, said RTKL officials.
The project will include a “Silk Walk,” a lifestyle environmentlined with restaurants and shops. The site is in the WenjiangDistrict, along the banks of the Jiang’an River, RTKL said in astatement.
