CHANTILLY, VA-BPG Properties is expecting to close three leases that will equal roughly 100,000 square feet in two buildings in Northern Virginia shortly with the federal government, Brian Fitzgerald, senior vice president and director of BPG’s regional Washington, DC office, tells GlobeSt.com. Two of the pending leases are in Arlington, VA and the other is in Falls Church.
These leases will follow on the heels of BPG’s newly inked lease with the General Services Administration for 63,500 square feet at 14360 Newbrook Dr. here. The five-story, 165,000-square-foot office building is located within BPG’s Commonwealth Centre, a 101-acre mixed-use development located in Westfields International Corporate Center. GSA will occupy two floors of the building, bringing it close to 90% occupancy, Fitzgerald says. Commonwealth Centre will eventually hold a mixed-use development with hotel, office and retail space.
In addition to the 100,000 square feet pending with GSA, there is another 100,000 square feet of Washington, DC-area leases that are pending in the company’s pipeline, Fitzgerald says. “By the end of the year, we anticipate having closed 200,000 square feet worth of deals.”
