LOS ANGELES-Brookfield Properties has named Charles Dunn Co. as the retail leasing agent for Brookfield's 7th & Fig shopping center, 330,000-square-foot open-air shopping center at Seventh and Figueroa streets in Downtown L.A. that includes a 2.5-acre open air plaza. Charles Dunn senior managing directors Ted Slaught and Kevin Dee will be the exclusive agents for the property.
Brookfield SVP Bert Dezzutti notes that the center, in the financial district on Figueroa Street between Seventh and Eighth streets, features a host of name retail tenants including Morton’s Steakhouse, California Pizza Kitchen and Gold’s Gym. "Drawing an estimated 16 million visitors to downtown each year, and with a pedestrian traffic count at the corner of 7th street and Figueroa reaching approximately 20,000 persons per hour, the city is in need of additional retail and amenities to support the amazing influx of tourists and residents," Dezzutti says.
The 7th & Fig shopping center is part of a Brookfield Office Properties portfolio of interests in 93 properties totaling 70 million square feet in the downtown cores of New York, Boston, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Houston, Toronto, Calgary and Ottawa. Among its assets are the World Financial Center in Manhattan, Brookfield Place in Toronto, Bank of America Plaza in Los Angeles and Bankers Hall in Calgary.
