HOUSTON-Houston House Apartments, a 31-story tower opened in 1966, is receiving its first face-lift. Larry Hill of Sumar Realty Corp. along with investors obtained ownership of the property located at 1617 Fannin in 1983.

The owner is investing more than $10 million to renovate the property by modernizing the 396 apartments, the lobby and building exterior and the amenities of residents. The wood-paneled bar will be changed into billiards, media and conference rooms, and fitness and business centers. For the full story, go to Houston Chronicle.
