DETROIT-The Economic Development Corp. of Detroit has grantedpreliminary approval for the construction of a healthcare facilityworth $23 million, which would come up near the Outer DriveSouthfield Freeway. The developer is Oakwood Healthcare, one of thelargest hospital companies in the city.

The 70,000 square-foot medical facility would feature doctors'offices and would include services such as radiology and surgery.The proposal still requires an approval from the City Council.For the full story, go to The Detroit Free Press.
