CHICAGO-The average interest rates on mortgages for 30 years have equaled the record-low level of 4.32% in the latest week. Last week, the value increased up to 4.37%.
The 15-year mortgage average interest rates decreased to 3.75% in this week, a record-low value since 1991, according to Freddie Mac.
Compared to last week, average rates on loans for one-year adjustable-rate increased from 3.46% to 3.48%, while that of mortgages for five-year adjustable-rate decreased from 3.54% to 3.52%. For the full story, go to Chicago Sun Times.
