PANORAMA CITY, CA-Mission Foods, a Tortilla and corn flourmanufacturer, has opened its new plant in the Valley's StateEnterprise Zone in Panorama City, which becomes its fifthproduction facility in the Southern California region.
The company had spent $50 million for the development of the200,000 square-foot plant, which complies with LEED Goldsustainability standards. The facility can reduce carbon emissionsup to 1,250 metric tons. It also features solar rooftop panels,which can meet part of its electricity demands.
