ARLINGTON, VA-BPG Properties has signed a 29,000-square-foot lease with CACI International at Potomac Gateway, a 350,000-square-foot, two-building office complex in Crystal City.
CACI is taking more than one floor in 2800 Crystal Dr., a 175,000-square-foot, 10-story office building that BPG renovated in 2008. The lease brings the building to 94% occupancy. Sister building 2900 Crystal Dr., a 170,000-square-foot, 10-story office building, has also been renovated. There is 125,000 square feet remaining in both buildings for lease. CACI was represented by Junius Tillery of UGL Equis. BPG was repped by Todd J. Brinkman, Spencer R. Stouffer II and Krysta Hardiman of Cassidy Turley.
In an earlier interview with GlobeSt.com, Brian Fitzgerald, senior vice president and director of BPG’s regional Washington, DC office, said that BPG was expecting to close three leases in two buildings in Northern Virginia shortly with the federal government that will equal roughly 100,000 square feet. Two of the leases are in Arlington; the other in Falls Church, according to Fitzgerald.
BPG recently signed a lease with the General Services Administration for 63,500 square feet at 14360 Newbrook Dr. in Chantilly, VA. The five-story, 165,000-square-foot office building is located within BPG’s Commonwealth Centre, a 101-acre mixed-use development located in Westfields International Corporate Center. In addition to the 100,000 square feet pending with GSA, there is another 100,000 square feet of Washington, DC-area leases that are pending in the company’s pipeline, Fitzgerald said. “By the end of the year, we anticipate having closed 200,000 square feet of deals.”
