LOS ANGELES-Charles Dunn Co. has created the position ofpresident of brokerage and has hired 21–year industry veteran ChrisAtkinson for the new post as the L.A.-based firm continues itsrestructuring. Atkinson, who will oversee all of Charles Dunn’snine brokerage offices in California and Arizona, joins CEO ChrisCooper and president of property management PatrickConn as newly named executives at Dunn to help lead the strategicinitiatives and growth of the 89-year-old firm.

Atkinson’s hiring is one of a number of new company-wideinitiatives at Dunn, which is planning an upcoming move from itscurrent West Los Angeles office to a new location in Century City.Cooper says that Atkinson role will be to “build cohesive andmeaningful integrated service opportunities that will allow everyaspect of Charles Dunn to expand, grow and thrive.”

Atkinson’s experience includes: principal/founder of AtkinsonPartners LLC; president/founder of Omni Petroleum Management LLC;vice president, the Bates Co.; co-founder and VP of the BatesDevelopment Co.; VP of Trammell Crow Co.; founder/president atPacific Realty Advisors; and senior associate at CB RichardEllis.
