NEW YORK CITY-Filene's Basement/Syms is planning to open itsfirst store at 490 Fulton St. in Brooklyn. It has leased a40,000-square-foot store in the five-story Fulton Mallbuilding.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Filene's/Syms willoccupy the ground floor, and the asking rent for the floor was $250to $300 per square foot. The new Brooklyn store will be opened inthe beginning of 2012. Nearly 80,000 square feet of space is stillavailable in Fulton Mall. For the full story, go toNew York Post.
