NEW YORK CITY-Filene's Basement/Syms is planning to open its first store at 490 Fulton St. in Brooklyn. It has leased a 40,000-square-foot store in the five-story Fulton Mall building.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Filene's/Syms will occupy the ground floor, and the asking rent for the floor was $250 to $300 per square foot. The new Brooklyn store will be opened in the beginning of 2012. Nearly 80,000 square feet of space is still available in Fulton Mall. For the full story, go to New York Post.
