Quantum Medical Imaging, which has subleased 48,233 square feet from Atkins Nutritionals since 2005, has turned the space at Rechler Equity’s 2002 Orrville Dr. in Ronkonkoma, NY into a direct lease. Ashlind Properties’ Richard Cohen negotiated the eight-year deal for Quantum, which was acquired last month by Rochester, NY-based Carestream Health Inc., formerly the health unit of Eastman Kodak Co. Harry Stavros represented Rechler Equity in-house.
New York City
Faunus Group International has renewed and tripled its space at Swig Equities’ 80 Broad St., going from 6,000 square feet to a total of 18,000 square feet on two full, non-contiguous floors. Colliers International’s Jamie Drummond, Steven Jaray and Sheena Gohil represented FGI in the 11-year deal. Todd E. Korren of Swig Equities represented the landlord.
A pair of deals totaling 30,000 square feet at 902 Broadway were negotiated recently by a Colliers International team. General Assembly Space LLC, which provides incubator office space for small companies, leased 16,500 square feet for the entire fourth floor, while JNK Securities took a total of 12,125 square feet on the 20th floor and the penthouse roof. Agency team Perry Mesmer and Marty Meyer at Colliers negotiated for landlord 902 Associates LLC, while Andrew Stein and Burt Rosenblatt, of Vicus Partners, represented General Assembly Space in this transaction.
RFR Realty has signed an existing retail tenant, Fidelity Brokerage Services LLC, to a new 8,989-square-foot lease at 188 E. 78th St. Fidelity will relocate in spring 2011 from a second floor space at RFR’s 980 Madison Ave. The tenant was represented by CB Richard Ellis and Colliers Meredith & Grew.
Brooklyn Renaissance Plaza, which recently had a 10,000-square-foot vacancy marking the first availability at the 840,000-square-foot property since 1998, has leased up more than half of it. David Black Literary Agency leased 3,600 square feet, and law firm Epstein & Conroy took 1,863 square feet. Brian Weld, from Cassidy Turley, represented David Black in the transaction, while Elizabeth Martin, of E.L. Martin Partners, represented Epstein & Conroy.
In two separate deals within the Two Trees Management portfolio, Andrea Mason Design signed a three-year lease for 1,393 square feet at 20 Jay St. and Rubber Band International will occupy 1,072 square feet for one year at 55 Washington St. Both properties are located in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood. Two Trees’ Elizabeth Cottrill and Andrea Pardo represented the ownership on the 20 Jay and 55 Washington deals, respectively; neither tenant was represented by a broker.
Westchester County
At the Gannett Office Park complex in White Plains, Heritage Realty Services has signed Westfair Communications to a five-and-a-half-year renewal of its 4,263-square-foot headquarters space at 3 Gannett Dr. George T. Constantin represented Heritage, while Cushman & Wakefield represented Westfair. PNC Mortgage, the mortgage banking division of PNC Bank National Assn., has taken 3,028 square feet for five years at 2 Gannett Dr. Constantin also represented the landlord in this transaction, while Newmark Knight Frank negotiated on the tenant’s behalf.
Boston
Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates Inc has renewed its lease for 2,818 square feet at 150 Grossman Dr., Braintree Executive Park, in Braintree, MA. Representing both Harvard Vanguard and landlord Braintree Executive Park LLC was Richard McKinnon of the Grossman Cos.
