NEW YORK CITY-Developer BRP Cos. has started construction on the$45 million retail and housing project named the Bradford locatedin Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn. The Urban Investment Group ofGoldman Sachs has invested $6.5 million in the project, which willfeature 105 apartments for families in the low and middle incomegroup.

The firm also serves as equity financier by issuing bonds worth$20.7 million. The New York City Housing Development Corp. is alsobacking the project along with New Markets Tax Credits. Forthe full story, go to Wall Street Journal.
