CHICAGO-Gordmans Stores Inc., an Omaha-based discount department store, is opening its first location in Chicago next year. The company has leased 47,500 square feet at Algonquin Commons situated at 1900 S. Randall Rd.
The space leased by Gordmans was previously occupied by Wickes Furniture Co. The firm, which owns eight locations in Downstate, including stores in Champaign and Springfield, is planning to open five locations next year. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business.
