SAN DIEGO-The San Diego Housing Commission has acquired the172-unit Mariners Village Apartments in Paradise Hills for $31.5million and is working to acquire additional properties, accordingto brokers who represented the commission in the acquisition. Theproperty, at 6847 Potomac St., is a complex of 12 garden-stylebuildings on a parcel of more than nine acres.

The housing commission was was represented by Diane Miramontes,Darcy Miramontes and Kip Malo of Cassidy Turley BRE Commercial. TheCassidy Turley team is now working with commission officials intheir search for additional properties.

The commission bought the property from Mariners Investors Inc.,with Continental American Properties, Ltd. as its managing partner.The sellers were represented by Ed Rosen, John Chu and AlejandroLombrozo of Cushman & Wakefield.
