RIALTO, CA-Sares-Regis Group has signed American Building Supply to a 10-year, $20 million lease for 715,433 square feet of warehouse space here in the second lease over 700,000 square feet to be signed in Rialto recently. According to Michael Wood, director of leasing at Irvine, CA-based Sares-Regis, the lease represents an expansion for American Building Supply, which will be consolidating three locations, totaling about 650,000 square feet, at the facility. The lease takes effect March 1.
The facility that American Building will occupy is at the corner of Rialto and Cedar avenues. It is the largest of three buildings developed by Sares-Regis Group in its 1.6-million-square-foot Rialto Commerce Center, which was completed in 2006. American Building Supply will consolidate operations from two Rancho Cucamonga locations, a 264,558-square-foot building at 11655 Jersey Blvd. and a 240,000-square-foot building at 12200 Arrow Rd. The company also is relocating Phoenix operations in 150,000 square feet to Rialto. Sares-Regis was represented by Chuck Belden of Cushman & Wakefield. Jay Dick of CB Richard Ellis represented American Building Supply, which is a national door, frame and hardware supplier and seller of window and mill work products. The company is based in Sacramento.
In the other large Rialto lease, reported recently on GlobeSt.com, furniture chain Living Spaces signed a 10-year, $26 million lease for a 796,841-square-foot distribution building owned by La Salle Investment Management Services. According to DAUM Commercial Real Estate Services EVP Rick John of the company’s Ontario office, who represented the building owner along with DAUM SVP Gus Andros, the building was the largest distribution space available in the Inland Empire at the time the lease was signed.
