NEWTON, MA-Senior Housing Properties Trust has inked a deal with CommonWealth REIT to acquire 27 medical office properties in 12 states for $470 million.
The largest assets in the 2.8 million square-foot portfolio are two office towers totaling 331,000 square feet with 1,705-vehicle parking lots in Los Angeles. CommonWealth is discarding the properties as part of its divesture strategy of trading older healthcare assets to concentrate more on Class A type properties.
